I fell in love with the Anglo Saxon lyre the first time I picked it up and played it. It was easy to play, and I found that I was able to playing it within minutes. Everything I had learned from guitar, from piano, from teaching music to my students with xylophones and Orff instruments seemed to have been leading to that moment, right there, sitting around the fire, with Viking re-enactors, the whole atmosphere, that of a Viking village, and I felt at home, sitting and playing the lyre and singing. 

My lyre journey would be years in the making, before I received my own lyre, researched it to discover what it was capable of, and to finally bring it to the world, so that everyone can have access to music. It truly is the easiest instrument to learn, and is accessible for musicians and brand new musicians alike.
